Note: These news reports overlap in some cases. We've done our best to count a casualty only once. Where vague reports suggest "many" "some" or "several" we count a minimum of 2. These logs were compiled by Evan D. The following news links were compiled by Evan D.

Baghdad:
#1: A mortar bomb struck a mosque in Baghdad on Friday, killing at least four people, police said. Six people were wounded in the incident which took place at the al-Alee al-A'atheem Sunni Arab mosque on the southern outskirts of Baghdad.	4	6

Baiji:
#1: In the oil refining town of Baiji, in the centre of the country, a train station official was shot dead by gunmen.	1
#2: But continual attacks, including some in the last week, have kept the refinery in Beiji, about 155 miles north of Baghdad, from producing amid an oil shortage.
Hilla:
#1: (Baqubah?) Five Iraqi civilians including three brothers were killed in Hilla Friday, as declared by Iraqi security sources. An army statement told Kuna that three brothers were killed by unidentified gunmen when they were about to board their car, early morning, in the heart of Baquba.	5
Baqubah:
#1: A roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol, wounding two policemen in Baquba 65km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.		2
Diwaniyah:
#1: A Salvadoran soldier was killed in Iraq in an attack on the Halliburton Co. convoy he was escorting, El Salvador's armed forces said. The soldier died yesterday when the vehicles from Halliburton's KBR unit were hit by an explosion on the outskirts of Diwaniyah, a city south of Baghdad, at about 6:30 p.m. local time, according to a statement on the armed forces' Web site. Another Salvadoran soldier was injured in the incident. Sub-sergeant Donald Alberto Ramirez, a 35-year-old nurse, is the fourth member of the Salvadoran armed forces to be killed in Iraq. The wounded soldier, Sub-sergeant Pedro Carpio Cortez, 39, had ``light'' injuries to his left leg and arm, the armed forces said. No further details were provided about the attack.			1	1
Babil Prv:
#1: South of Baghdad, in the Babil province, police reported clashes between the Shia Mehdi Army militia of Moqtada al-Sadr and US forces. A curfew was placed on the town after the fighting. Sources within the militia said that one of their members was killed by US forces and one wounded.
Balad Ruz:
#1: (near) A Shia shrine has been blown up. Attackers planted several bombs inside the shrine to Imam Askar between the towns of Balad Ruz and Mandalay on Friday morning. The resulting explosion destroyed the monument.
#2: (near) West of the shrine, in a small village in the Imam Ways region, gunmen in a car opened fire on three brothers from a Shia family, killing them all.	3
Samarra:
#1: (near) An explosion struck a crude oil pipeline in central Iraq early Friday, a police officer in the area said. The blast, in the Tharthar area 20 kilometers west of Samarra, struck a pipeline carrying crude from Beiji refinery in the North to the Doura refinery near Baghdad, the Samarra-based policeman said.
The officer didn't have any further details about the cause of the explosion and the time needed for repairs.
Tikrit:
#1: In Tikrit, the birthplace of former president Saddam Hussein south of Baiji, two Iraqis were killed outside their house.	2
Kirkuk:
#1: Three people were also killed south of the relatively stable city of Kirkuk when a roadside bomb destroyed their car.	3
#2: Gunmen kidnapped a Kurdish security guard in Kirkuk itself.
#3: An Iraqi army lieutenant was killed on Friday as his checkpoint was attacked by unknown gunmen southwest of Kirkuk. Iraqi police source said a checkpoint in the Tal Al-Thahab area was attacked by unknown gunmen using a white sedan, which resulted in the killing of first lieutenant Arshad Nour Ibrahim.	1
#4: Iraqi police source added an improvised bomb exploded in one of the patrolling police vehicles on the main street of Kirkuk, while a similar attack targeted Multi-National Force (MNF) vehicle on the way of Kirkuk.
Hawija:
#1: East of Kirkuk, in Hawija, which has been a focus for the insurgency, a policeman and a bystander were shot dead in an attack aimed at a passing police patrol.	2

Ramadi:
#1: US warplanes attacked a house used as a hideout for gunmen in the western city of Ramadi. An army statement said the Multi-National Forces the raid also targeted a car used by insurgents. It gave no details about the insurgents' losses.

#1: Two coalition soldiers were wounded during a clash with Taliban rebels Thursday in the troublesome Sangin district of southern Helmand province, said Maj. Scott Lundy, a coalition spokesman. He did not disclose the soldiers' nationalities. He said their conditions were not life-threatening.				2
#2: Family members in Atlanta say the wife of a civilian contractor in Afghanistan and their two daughters were among those killed in a helicopter crash that claimed 16 lives in the war-wracked nation. Fifty-five-year-old Darlene Moulder and daughters Bryn and Caroline were on their way to meet with Stuart Moulder and then go on a family vacation, according to his sister, Carol Dallas.			previously reported
#3: Pakistani troops and drug traffickers clashed near the Afghan border yesterday and five soldiers and six smugglers were killed, an official said. Maj Mohammed Haroon said the gunbattle took place near Bramcha village in the southwestern Baluchistan province when the troops tried to intercept three sport utility vehicles that entered Pakistan from Afghanistan.	11

#1: Three Kenyans called a Nairobi-based seafarer's group to say they had been kidnapped in Iraq after the ship they had stowed away on dumped them in the war-ravaged country, a maritime official said on Friday.
#1: A bomb blast outside a bank wounded at least 19 people in Quetta, capital of Pakistan's troubled southwest province of Baluchistan, police and doctors said. Two of the wounded were in a critical condition. The explosives had been planted in a motorcycle parked outside the bank, according to police.		19
